With the composites / ceramics mixtures known that could be used to line the combustion chambers would increase the limits of pre knock that would let them thin out the gas increaseing the miles to gal far above whats today,

@Truthiness231 That has nothing to do with the fact that internal combustion engines are better than electric-powered engines. Sure, electric cars are probably the future but batteries and electric powered motors, in my humble opinion, have still not sufficiently developed enough to the point where they would be able to adequately replace combustions engines.. Just my 2 cents.

@mercedescl Because they are very efficient at what they do. Combustion engines today are really not efficient, way to much energy is wasted in heat and we really need to revolutionize todays car so they can meet better standards.

This engine is just proving what people have been doing since the mid 80's with V6's....Grand National anyone?

@Truthiness231 fork and spoon are very ancient tools, why are you still using them?

I don't see the eco boost holding up, use two turbo chargers and the v6 will not last called blown up

Wow.. Americans discovering that bigger isn't always better? You might be on to something here, guys... haha

@Truthiness231 "eventually gets replaced by some concept greater than the former"? What concept? They are still less efficient and more costly than the internal combustion engine. In the meantime, I will keep driving V8 with a manual unless the government outlaws it.

Ford did make a mistake in 1980, drilled holes in the frames of truck frames and made them weaker.Wanted to lighten the frame and ford would not cover it under warranty if a snow plow was installed
