I'm a now 72 year old white man who grew up in the woods in Wisconsin. High School graduating class - 42 farm kids. Worked my way into management level in a Fortune 500 company. Would be expected to be a racist if not a "white supremist". In 2008 I voted for Obama (first Democrat vote EVER) because I truly hoped his presidency would lift black Americans up, up, up. It would give them something to be proud of and it would end or at least diminish their feelings of racial discrimination. Boy was I wrong! The exact opposite happened.

Barack was President when Hurricane Ivan hit and destroyed our home and other property that we worked a lifetime to buy! As pieces of timber, cars, bikes, and people's furniture floated out to sea in Pensacola Beach, Barack went on TV to tell us he knew how much we were hurting and help was coming! We waited. We waited some more. Weeks went by.
Some of our neighbors died. Everything we had was gone, including our income. Our house was gone, but we still had to pay the mortgage and the HOA fees! Finally, finally, Barack came back on tv and I couldn't wait to hear what kind of help we could get? He said call this number and you'll get all the help you need. I called. It was a recording from a legal firm that said, "Send us $5, 000 as a retainer, and we'll be happy to help you! Here's the address!" Thanks Barack. You were a gem of a President! I will never forget him!
