On September 21, 2014, MasterPeace celebrated the UN International Day of Peace with 55 events in 42 countries, including many in conflict areas. At the heart of these MasterPeace celebrations, a heartwarming concert took place in the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam (The Netherlands) bringing top artists from (former) conflict areas together on one stage, supported by the renowned Metropole Orkest.

MasterPeace is a global grassroots movement that inspires everyone to use their talent and energy for peace building and togetherness. With music, art, sport and dialogue MasterPeace teams in 42 countries focus on disarmament and the prevention of new armed conflict.

MasterPeace will mobilize millions of people worldwide to take actions for peace. MasterPeace Clubs are present in more than forty countries including current and former conflict areas such as Afghanistan, Columbia, Sierra Leone and Nepal.

I can't thank Oleta enough for this song. I had been married 4 months, when my Marine Unit was deployed because of the 1st Gulf War. About halfway through the deployment, my wife sent a tape with this song leading off the other songs she sent. We're about to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and during my career I have often had to travel for work. Every time I have to leave, I hear Ms. Adam's song encouraging me to get home.

I was having dinner out in 1991 when the Gulf War started and all the tv’s were showing all the military strikes and this song made me think of all those military spouses who had no idea how this war was going to go. Desert Shield/Storm. My husband was one 8 mos and this was the song that defined that war for us military wives left behind in our units. My husband just passed away this July and this still brings bittersweet memories.
