The different between SA victims and false allegation victims is one has every safety net, support network, and the whole justice system on their side, and the other gets shamed for not getting over it.

“She is clearly struggling” yes she is and so instead of self improvement, she started to bring everything to her level. If she wanted help OP probably would have helped, instead she wanted to ruin someone’s life so she wasn’t the only one struggling. That is both unforgivable and unneeded in life.

After she already admitted the SA accusation was fake, why on earth would anyone take any of her next accusations after that seriously?

They always say blood is thicker than water... but they never know the full quote. “The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.” The saying means that chosen bonds are more significant than the bonds with family or “water of the womb.” More directly, it means that relationships you make yourself are far more important than the ones that you don't choose.

Screw those people demanding OP to be the one to make amends. He never did anything. And she deserves the hate because she can't STOP LYING!

These people are delusionally insane for not knowing what "FAMILY" truly mean.

Not gonna lie this video title makes me think of a possibility that is absolutely terrifying. I am a completely blind person and I am using technology to type this I have been so for seven years at this point currently 26. My biggest fear is that somehow a person without eyesight will be me to/falsely accused and even with proof of the disability the woman will still be considered the victim. I'm sure all of us have heard of the Karen who literally forced a blind man with gym staff to leave even after he proved his disability with his ID. And all because she said he was staring at her

I'd have said "I wish her attempt was successful so I don't have to deal with her."

I'm almost 100% certain that this was wirtten by an AI after receiving a prompt. The one part about therapy was repeated verbatim during the first or second update, and then again at the very end.

"I will believe that when I see it." This is such a simple and honest response to people that I find myself using a lot lately. It's very relevant here, too.

How I would have handled it: "I appreciate your apology. I do not forgive you because what you did cannot be forgiven. Now, kindly make every effort to never see me again."

"We have to handle this cautiously"
"...And i will _never_ forgive you for this betrayal"

Why do people always want reconciliation after they found out it was a lie? They didn't want that when they believed the lies, so why should it happen when they're exposed as lies? Its hypocritical and pathetic to put the burden on the victim to reconcile.

OP: My family says family is blood.

Me: As a wise Anime Antagonist once said "Blood can only run so thick."

The bio sister didn't just hurt her brother, she hurt every real victim of SA.

Assuming this story is true, this man is more gracious towards his family than I would have been.

So she accuses him of a heinous act, nearly ruining his life, later reveals she lied, and somehow he is still the bad guy here?

The #disrespect is on another level.

Sadly, I can relate, on a lower level.

I have a sister that accused me of financial crimes over a decade ago. Lawyers and all were involved. Haven't spoken to her since.

Last year was at a wedding she attended as well. Heard from others that she seemed to want to talk to me but didn't approach me [I made sure the wedding party that invited me knew that there would be no problems as long as SHE LEFT ME ALONE.]

Only my dad pulls the "family" card on me every so often, to which I tell him that anyone who tries to dishonestly force money from me is stealing my ability to put food on the table for my boys and is certainly no friend of mine, let alone FAMILY WHO SHOULD KNOW BETTER. And he should reserve his FAMILY lectures for her, maybe teach her what family is supposed to mean and where duty, respect and accountability fall into that equation.

I would say treat her how you would treat me if the accusations were true.

I wonder if the family would be this forgiving and seeking reconciliation if the accusation was true

my response to the sister would be "can a heart still beat once its been stabbed by a knife too many times?"
