"That's just 1-2cm contraction, for child birth 10 cm contraction is required"

Some women bleed for 7-10 days regularly. I was so glad for menopause.

And hormones don't necessarily work like atomic clocks. Classmate back in the day missed almost the whole 6 weeks we studied swimming in gym at middle school because she menstruated 21 days out 28.

I have endometriosis and when I’m not on the pill, I bleed heavily for 4-5 days, then it dwindles around 8 days, then bleeding stops for a day or two, then I spot in the middle of my cycle for another week. Thank god for the pill, in my case.

I had menopause early at 41. I wasn’t expecting it.

I’m very lucky that I don’t get heavy periods, however, I’m looking forward to menopause and never having one.

So this muscle is what stops functioning when a woman goes through menopause?

I'm guessing lutenizing got its name after "lunar" due to the way menstrual cycles happen in a similar length of time as the phases of the moon.

All of this is affected by hormones. If your hormones are not right, you will have cramps, heavy bleeding, and bleeding longer than you should. And no, nirth control is not the solution, it causes way more harm and for a lot of women leads to infertility. The hormone imbalances are caused by processed, synthetic junk, not just food but also health care products like body washes, plastics, pads and tampons, among so many others. Women notice a huge difference when they clean up their diet and stop eating artificial sweeteners (which have been linked to pcos) and soy (which is a gmo estrogen mimicker, and gmo is not the same as hybrid... Gmo is lab altered, hybrid happens naturally), and switching to either actual organic cotton period products or other natural fiber, or menstrual cups or alternatives like sponges. Plus getting off of unnecessary and harmful medications and birth control.

So, the contractions that move the blood down are the "period cramps".
