This is an excellent beginner book and it is also very inexpensive because it is a Dover book. It reads really well and I was able to learn math from this book before even taking a course on complex variables.

Another one in my library. Made many a purchase from Dover over the years. Only use as reference. Complex Variables is one of my favorite courses I ever took.

I used that book in the 1980's for a course at UBC and still have it. Yes, it is very good! :)

I used Dover Publications for learning real analysis, topology, and linear algebra before taking those courses. Now, I just buy old textbooks from Thriftbooks.com.
