It's cute how there's no discernable difference between how Louis talks to Inky about his climbing and how he talks to humans he's coaching

i love the way ink looks up the climb at 12:54 "Dang why did I slip there"
Completly ignoring the treat right in front of him.

My cat just spent the entire video trying to get into the tv to get to Ink! 😂

Carpet from the start was a must - the slips dented his confidence and desire to try again. Ink is such a tolerant boy 😻

I think this video proves that Ink is most definitely not an idiot. He did only the things he wanted and nothing more. He may not be trainable, but that is a very different thing.

"Free solo'd el cap without a chalk bag" is one hell of a flex 😂

time to just leave this video on a loop for the rest of the year.

Maybe consider that Ink has no way to bail from a risky move with any of the holds up high. Pretty sure if you built something pyramid-style with lots of places to climb up and down, he'd be a lot more chill about it. (And you'd maybe get less annoyed side-eye and swishy tail, hahaha.)

I noticed you give Ink more treats when he's on the ground and fewer treats when you're trying to lure him. Reversing that dopamine distribution might train Ink that climbing is better than the ground.

I truly admire Ink's determination and tenacity (at not giving a flying F about climbing). Does look pretty majestic on the preferred perch though!

Does catnip spray count as a PED (Pawformance Enhancing Drug)? If so, the IFSC want to have a word about all those gold medals...

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THIS IS THE FINAL INSTALMENT

Edit to add: No matter how excellent the usual climbing videos, I will always prefer Ink content... doesn't even have to be him climbing, I would happily watch a video about his daily activities

Edit to add to add: Ink is such a baby and I love him

I was not expecting a third Ink video! So excited to see it! I don't think I commented on the other two videos, but I thought it would help convince you to make more cat bouldering videos if I let you know that your first one was the CATalyst that convinced me to push my husband and I to try bouldering! 🐈‍⬛Getting Ink to try harder will probably take some animal training skills and some stepping back from "hard" boulders for him with other activities or easier boulders that build Ink's confidence (just like you would with your students). Absolutely purchasing some Ink merch! I certainly need more cat/climbing clothes. Thank you, Louis!

Was actually having a bit of a tough day today mentally but seeing ink's progress has brightened it up a bit, thank you for posting him <3

I think the trick would be a laser, mine climb like crazy up my curtains when I turn the laser on haha

Ah, excuse me, I'll hear none of this nonsense about this being the last video with your star athlete! I am liking, commenting, and sharing this to help it get to 1mill.

Bengal cats are super athletic & LOVE climbing. He’s a wonderful handsome FLOOFY boy. ❤ Possibly it’s just not his thing & maybe finding a bengal cat for the next video.❤😊

Absolutely adorable, like the previous Ink videos, but it's also pretty obvious to me how much effort it takes to get a cat up a boulder. Honestly, I'm impressed how compliant Ink seems to be (with regards to stuff like 0:08, but even just generally being in a climbing gym with lots of people, being held, ...), I'm pretty sure none of the cats I've known would have done nearly as well as he did. And if you do end up needing to make another cat video: I would be totally ok with an off-topic discussion of how you trained him, logistics of a cat in a climbing gym/public, etc. :)

That cat sure puts up with a lot of being picked up and put down. What a good sport you are Ink. My cats would walk out after taking a few swipes at you. 😁
