These checkpoint updates sound real good. Now here’s a question. I don’t know if this is a realistic question or if this is just me being different or a little crazy but let’s say for example a file becomes corrupted. Will it also look for corrupted files and replace them if they’re corrupted? I do like the idea of checkpoint updates from differential updates, but if some files were corrupted and differential updates, they would be rewritten, but since it doesn’t do that only give you the files you need what if a file is not right or needs to be replaced in that scenario what would happen then. Sure you can use commands like the Dizm command or system file checker but would windows update be able to replace some of these corrupt files? Should a situation like that happen?

Will Windows update check existing files which don't require changes under the new package for integrity purposes should they had been corrupted and therefore need a new copy installed or are you stuck with corrupted files if they aren't part of the update package?
