Today I'm just running through the options that most mini trucks have when it comes to lowering your truck. Not every option will fit every truck so make sure to find out what's applicable to your particular truck! I'll be covering popular terms you might hear when it comes to lowering your truck like the ball joint flip, loosening your torsion bars, reindexing and many other terms beginners might not know about.

Love your videos!

I’m looking at a 90s B2000 tomorrow, if everything looks good I’ll take it home.

Keep up the good work !

Not sure why so many people say you can't run 14" wheels with drop spindles. i have an 88 toyota hilux 2wd on belltech 2" drop spindles and im running 14x7 US Indy Mags with no issue

So to do the torsion bar reindex to lower the truck, which direction do i move them? Inwards or outwards ? Thanks

Can you show how the torsion bars are modified? Greetings from Chile. translation with Bing Translator

Reindexing torsion bars does NOT lower the front suspension. It only allows more or less adjustment on the bolt that adjusts height. This has been documented in many forums and is inaccurate information.

BITD, we indexed the torsion bars at the bolt end not the control arm end.

Flipping the front ball joints over so they are pointed in the opposite direction will not work without a lot of work on most vehicles because the ball joint and the hole in the spindle are tampered. When flipped like this, the tapers are now opposite, and the ball joint will not fully seat in the spindle, and the nut will not thread onto the ball joint. My son watched this video and wanted to do this on his B series. I told him it would not work. He didn't believe me because of your video. So when we were doing the control arm cutting so the ball joint could be mounted on top, I showed him why this would not work by inserting the ball joint into the spindle.

Also, flipping the top ball joint does not lower the vehicle.

Just seen video about lowering truck. I use to own a 1987 mazada b2000 in year 1990. So happened, i never got over my truck getting wrecked. I just purchased a 1989 Mazda b2600i 4x4 cab. Can i do the lowering blocks to just lower it just above the 20 inch tires. Dont want it low, low. Just a little. What do you recommend. Remember its 4x4

have you guys ran or seen anyone run lowering blocks and lowering springs at the same time on a d21? in my case i have a 91 hardbody and there’s a bell tech 3” leaf spring for sale. and i’m wondering if that combined w my 3” block would be too much
(i’m going for like 1”-2“ off the ground type low

i was thinking of either going monoleaf or redrilling but i don’t want it to handle like crap since it’s my daily

Hi
I have a 1988 Mazda B2200 extra cab and I would like to replace the stock rims with 18” or 20” alloy rims. My concern is rubbing the tires against the wheel well or fender. What size rims in width and tires(low profiles) would you recommend to avoid my concern. And Im thinking to have 2” gap from top of tire to the fender. Needless to say. Thank you for the lowering information and very helpful
Thank you
