Cyrus, China believes that their system is the best for China but they never insist that other countries should adopt same.

Americans feel that unless a country has 2 parties fighting and constantly tripping over each other and making zero progress, it’s not possible for the government to be legitimate.

Xi Jinping is the best leader China has for many decades. He cares for the people, the environment, and he wants China to focus on high quality technological growth. Most people in China love Xi Jinping. I think Xi Jinping is a benevolent leader and he wants the best for China.
Why do western countries dislike Xi Jinping? This is because Xi Jinping will make China stronger and the media in the west do not like China to grow and for the Chinese people to have a better standard of living.

People need to understand who is the leader of a country is the choice of that nation, and none of the other countries' business.

I honestly approve of extending his term. I mean the people want it and so does the CPC as a whole. One of the things that can be considered a disadvantage in the American political system is that the handover of presidency happens every four years and is not guaranteed to be handed to a person that is aligned with the previous administration's political party. This really deals a blow in progress made by previous admins. Too often we see something a president worked on in their full term only to be dismantled by the next president. China has flourished under the direction of the CPC and more specifically, under Xi's presidency. I think it is auspicious for him to continue to be in that leadership position.

Thanks a lot, You are fair and unbiased. I am from Nepal. We share the border with China, and we have a good relations, We have not experienced China selling its political system in Nepal, But America fears that China will do so, and, to check that, it is coming with strategies unfavorable to Sino-Nepal relations. We have things to learn from China's economic development approach and infrastructure development.

Cyrus, China is not a one party system, actually China is a perfect two party system- CCP is the forever ruling party; all the western countries are formed as unpaid voluntary opposition party union ! So internally China really do not need any opposition parties ! That is why China is so successful I the past decades.

Hi Cyrus, thanks for all the great work you do. The west is obviously very bias when it comes to China and everything about the Chinese CCP. I have lived in the US for 20 plus years and love this country, but the medias here so closed minded when it comes to China and many of the so called “experts” have probably never been there. Lots of negative spins were put on any China related news including Covid, military, CCP, party congress, and the list goes on and on. It’s a breathe of fresh air listening to your shows and get some positivity in this somewhat depressed environment right now. Keep up the great work. Cheers!

Cyrus you are so wrong to say China is similar to the US to think their education system is the best. China's success is Not to think that they are the best. Its definitely not Chinese Characteristic. If one thinks one is perfect, then there isnt a need to develop and progress. This notion of perfection is the worse mistake one can make.

Li Keqiang will not be in the Central Committee for long. He has announced his retirement when his term ends.

On China's GDP, the chart you showed is only natural and healthy that high growth over 5 yrs be followed by average growth. High growth over too long a period is unsustainable.

Overall, the goals of the 20th Congress are consolidation and sustainability.

On Taiwan, to begin with, even if China were to suddenly decide to land forces in Taiwan, there is nothing the Taiwanese nor US can do about it. Taiwanese military is not going to bomb its own people and land. Further, China will not do that. As for Tsai Ing Wen, she is gradually losing her support. Current poll shows 62% in favour of Reunification. Fyi, Nancy Pelosi was interrupted and humiliated 4 times during her public address in Taiwan. Every single TV Channels in Taiwan was condemnimg her too and there were mass protest (by Taiwan std) but not a single one covered by the West.

The Belt And Road initiative is the catalyst for Global Economy & Growth.

Anything the West hates about XJP is a good thing, it only means XJP is doing a great job. Even if someone were to replace XJP, he or she will still be hated by the West.

China will not abandon zero covid policy in the near future. Of course the West, esp the US want China to open up and has more deaths than in the US. The US does not want to see anyone prosper simply because it is a threat to its dominance and US crimes against humanity are well known, including against its own native Americans.

Last but not least, being a US President is easy simply because one just has to be a corrupted asshole. Leaders like XJP or Putin, they are true leaders who crack their brain juice to manage their own country well.

President Xi deserves another term.
Nevertheless, President Xi must also prepare a few potential candidates for efficient succession.
China does not require American style of democracy which promotes harmfully divisive political view points as opposed to constructive alternative view points.
I strongly believe China will progress constructively for the country and the people of China.

XI does care the people in China. He visited the poor regions regularly and people all welcome him. Just go to China and randomly ask people in the street how they feel about him. U ll get positive answers!
Taiwan is the headache. Xi can reclaim it anytime but he still looking for a constructive resolution but it seems unlikely that there ll be peaceful talk between Taiwan n China so very likely Xi ll reclaim it in years to come. Territorial integrity is a core policy of CCP. While China s policy on Taiwan may attract a lot of attacks pls be reminded no country ll allow its terrototy be segregated!
One great China with Taiwan reunioned s the target of CCP n Xi ll materlize it. If he ll make it he will be great man in Chinese history after Mao and Deng!
Last but not the least, China has never dropped a bomb or interfere in other country s business except for Taiwan which is internationally recognized as part of China!

It's a combination of the *Red Scare* (phobia of communism) and the *Yellow Peril* (phobia of the West being overrun by Asians) that's fueling Sinophobic sentiment in the West today. Since the 19th century, many have grown so accustomed to the notion of Western dominance, such that the thought of a *non-Western, non-Liberal Democratic* country like China surpassing the U.S someday in the foreseeable future, is simply too frightening for many to fathom.

Cyrus, for the past three years I have been zapping on your blog . I must say that I have learnt a lot from your blog on China and the Chinese civilization. Finally I have come to the conclusion that you are a humanist: You are fighting for the common prosperity of the whole world, be they Chinese, American, Canadian, European, Asian, etc . As a second generation Chinese born in Mauritius, I am now passing my long old age holiday with my wife with our two children who have settled in Toronto after their university studies and are now full fledged professionals .What a contrast between you and former Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo. This chap whenever he speaks, to talk ill of China, the Chinese people cherish more the Chinese President, Xi Jinping. Cheers and greetings from Toronto. Roland Tsang Kwai Kew
