The Philippines has a diverse history. Started from Hinduism and Buddhism Influence, then to Islamic Influence where Trading Grew and Flourished, then to the Spanish Empire where Catholicism grew, then to become a US Colony where Protestantism and the English Language Grew, then to become occupied by the Japanese Empire, and then finally become independent. Now that’s crazy

Didn't know we shared so much back in the days. Recently I have been really curious about Phillipines and their freedom revolution and how bravely they fought for their native country. Love from India.

It's nice to see that a non-filipino is doing a lot of research on Philippine history that has been forgotten by most of the Filipino community.

How many different cultures do you want?

Philippines: Yes

We, Filipinos, tend to say "Tangkilikin ang sariling atin" which literally means to "love your own". But given how we were influenced by various cultures, colonized for hundreds of years, is there really something that we can truly call our own? Even our own country name isn't our own..

Man as a Filipino myself I've gotta say I was not expecting Ottomans and Aztecs to have visited our lands.

Man history never ceases to shock me.

Kudos to the uploader. This is indeed the most concise, most on point historical narrative I've ever heard and seen on youtube.
