We are a state of the art, award-winning independent music studio based in Scotland and we offer electronic music production training given by established artists in the music industry. We provide one to one tuition, track engineering, mastering, mixing, podcast production and support for artists and students of all levels.

Along with this we are hugely passionate about our local community and our strong Scottish roots. We offer a range of workshops, youth training, personal development and events for young people.

We do this by delivering in our purpose-designed learning hub, visiting schools and youth groups as well as our partner social enterprise groups.

SKapade was started by entrepreneur Stephen Kirkwood, a big name in the dance music scene with releases on some of the biggest labels in the world such as Spinnin Records, Ministry of Sound, Blackhole Recordings, Yosotoshi, Naked Lunch and Outburst Records.

Operations manager Steven Galloni has a background in acting, radio broadcasting and stand up comedy. Our other team members include John Lang who heads up our events and logistics department, and Jack Dyer our former intern turned team leader.

Stuart Mclellan of 2nd Phase and Nico Mendez of Erase and UM Records are also part of the team. They have a wealth of experience in all aspects of electronic music production and live performance.
