I just put these strings, phosphor bronze that is on my high-dollar Huss and Dalton acoustic guitar!!! so far I'm blown I mean I know it takes a couple days to really break the strings in but upon putting them on I was instantly blown away!!! I've used the exp's many of times and they last a really long time and also I bend and play the crap out of the strings even then they still last a while and keep a good was introduced to the xt by a guy at my local music store as I was going in to buy D'Addario phosphor bronze exp but I'm glad he introduced me to these! they sound killer!

i was able to use the EXP strings when i bought my acoustic guitar and it sounds good when i found out about the new XT series i bought 2 sets of Phosphor bronze with 11/52 on my guitars now and it sounds much more better and i needed this kind of strings especially im from the Philippines with a tropical weather so this will be put to the test....so far im digging it!

What about Coated Flatwound Strings? Adding a Coating would protect these strings & make them stronger especially on these really thin wound strings.

Is their any guideline for daddrio strings for gauge and tune we need to set accordingly ? I was Ernie ball videos where they taking about what gauge needs what string tunes. Can anyone guide ?

My electric guitar does not have Stainless Steel frets, could I still use the XT's or will my frets die?

I purchased a pack of dadario XT 80/20 Bronze for acoustic. But the strings inside weren't color coded. Are the strings for acoustic not supposed to be color coded?

My guitar came with Daddario XTAPB1253 .012 - .053
But the first time I played them I had black stains on my finger tips are they suppose to do that ? I mean they are coated aren't they ?

XT bass strings lasted me 3 days then died. I wiped them before and after light practice and they couldn't stand up to my devestating PH. Lesson learned, only coated strings for me.

Just wondering. From everything they’ve said about the strings and everything I’ve heard and read, they are basically a coated NYXL set. So, if they take a set of NYXL’s and go through the extra step of coating them, why are they three dollars less expensive than the regular NYXL’s? I love my NYXL’s. But if I can get a set of these and they are basically the same only coated, then why would I spend the extra money for the regular set of NYXL’s?

My son secretes toxic acid from his fingers. Lol. I just put a set on his guitar. I haven’t found anything that touches elixir at this point. I played d’adarrios for years. Hope these new treated strings are good. Dean Markley Blackhawks are pretty kickass too. They sound and feel closest to non coated D’adarrio. But elixir durability is still king. 🤘🏻
