They made three Hobbit movies and now I have to do this.

As someone who just finished Rings of Power a little while ago, I'm glad I'm watching this while the universe is still relatively fresh in my mind.
I never watched the Hobbit trilogy, like at all, and I never even read the book, so this is all pretty fresh to me, but your re-write sounds good!
Great video as always dude! 👌Also happy holidays! Looking forward to next year's crop of videos! 😁

Dropping the Battle of the Five Armies makes a lot of sense with making just one or two movies and the parallel to the scouring of the Shire also makes a lot of sense to me. Given how little time PJ had to make to make these films, it's kind of weird to me now that he *didn't* drop the battle.

The Hobbit trilogy is stronger in terms of acting.

The death of Thorin and his nephews assuming they all did die in the books shouldn't be left out. That really hit Bilbo hard.

I got the sense that the Fellowship loved each other because of the shared adventure. Thorin's Company on the other hand came to love one another first through misunderstanding, interpersonal struggle and then understanding.

The actor who played Thorin is the better of the two leading men. That is if you could even call the actor who played Aragorn the lead of his respective Trilogy. I'd say that was more Gandalf driving the story.

The more I watch the Hobbit the more I see it as the better of the two trilogies.

Bilbo's actor seemed to have more range.
