This was it. This is the book I used to learn trigonometry in one long weekend, and qualify for Calculus I.
I still do not know how I did that, but I am absolutely certain that I could not have done it using any other book.

Wow, what memories, lol.

I've owned Swokowski Series books before but I can't remember what any of them were. I want to say data structures but it may have been precalculus. I'll bet it was precalc. I had it for a long time too. It too was gray/silver with a similar graphic, but mine was red/maroon not yellow.

Originally, I felt like my algebra and trigonometry were weak and I needed to brush up on it. Now, I am too far ahead in math to focus solely on trigonometry. I may use it to sharpen--for example--partial derivatives, vector calculus, or some physics-related topics, but not to study it as just a course.

I think I used a silver analytic geometry book at U.T. Arlington in 1994 that looked a lot like that.

I have been wanting to ask you if you can do a video on the essential mathematics an engineer really needs to know that will get him through his career . I say this to say because when one looks at a typical American engineering course curriculum you see Calc1, Calc2 along with the other math courses. Does an engineer really need to know that amount of mathematics in reality to make him a successful professional? Why can't there be the 'bare core' essential mathematics for that particular branch of engineering...? With the studying of 'all these mathematics' in an engineering program and after graduation one doesn't put it to use will just become lost in time. Don't you think? That's just me thinking....! Don't be alarmed.

This book is a combination of Trig and intermediate functions for Calulus. When searching, you will see a good, free college Trig textbook.
