My manager, David, was an asshole. He always acted authoritatively, wanting me to implement tasks according to his way of thinking, with no autonomy in my work. He constantly micromanaged everything.

So, I resigned. I am jobless now, but my mental health is good.

Could you suggest better ways- if making big money in corporate world as engineer or in general is the only goal which path is the most suitable to adopt and how like earning promotions quicker, climbing ladder etc or remaining in same position ? Also how is it possible for me in initial stage of career to demand promotions or high pay after 6 months or a year by solving any of their major problems.. does creativity or innovation thinking examples work drastically well in advancing rapid growth...

Hello Sir, I am going to be joining a Pune-based service-based organization that specializes in content management systems. The problem is that I will be joining as a technical trainee and have not done much web development. I am a little nervous about what lies ahead. The organization will also provide new hires with training. Will it be an issue if they discuss something and I am not aware of it? Role is of 6 month trainee and it's for freshers. There are around some other students from my college too. I am really nervous. They must teach us something before putting us to work, right?

My apologies Sir, but your corporate political favoritism example was wrong. Unlike the government sector, the person favored by the top management is rarely without merit. Usually, as I have noticed it is someone with an exceptional skill set, excellent educational credentials, or might simply be the dude who has been with the company for a long time. Gaining the favor of the top management is not that easy.

Compare that to India's pathetic government/public sector where people are favored based on caste/religion, region, etc.
