About Video:-
to check the voltage of the transmission line and to detect folts, two measuring devices, current transformer and potential transformer, are used.
the current transformer measures the current. extremely high current flows from the high voltage line, then the current transformer will reduce this high current to 5 amperes, which can be measured with a normal meter.
by removing multiple tapes from the windings of the current transformer, different points of measuring unit fault detection can be found.
bhai connecting multiple winding on the secondary side we can take multiple output points to measure output current and fault current
it is very important to connect the load on the secondary side of the ct because without load the secondary side has an extremely high voltage surge which will damage any devices.
ct and pt also give us information about faults related to voltage and current.
pt means potential transformer, it is connected in parallel to the transmission line and works like a power transformer but it works at high accuracy.
it reduces the voltage of high voltage line to 110 volts and relay fault detection devices can also work well at this voltage.
