In this video we talk about 7 different ways to add serial numbers in excel.
Serial numbers are like salt. You never feel their presence but their absence makes your data tasteless.

Because with a serial number you can have a unique identity to each entry of your data and you also get a sense of how big or small is your dataset.

But the sad news is, adding them manually is a pain. It’s really hard to add a number in every row one after another.

The good news is, there are some ways which we can use to automatically add serial numbers in a column.

I want excel to assign a unique number to each row and i want that number to NOT change if I sort my table or if I delete a row. In other words if I have 15 rows and I enter a 16th row I want Excel to auto name it serial number 16 and that serial number will stay with that row no matter if other rows are added or deleted and no mater how I sort those rows. How can I do that?
