The lgv30 is an amazing phone I agree with you the only weakness for the V30 is the front facing camera what was LG thinking only a 5MP in 2017

Great review! I paid the $800 for it and once the newness wore off, I agree, it's more like a $700 phone. I don't use the front camera that much, but it should be way better regardless. The rear camera and audio experience are great, but I can also get that in a $384 V20. I don't see the screen issues that most reviewers are fussing about and I got mine early. The phone overall is solid but overpriced. LG needs to either start rolling the phones out at a cheaper price point or stop with the "it would be great, but...." scenarios and give it's loyal customers what we deserve. If this thing drops to $650 in a few months, I'm done with them. I work in the industry and I'm the only one of my peers that consistently buys LGs.

I love my v30, tho I don't use the front camera. As for the price, I got mine for $595 through tmobile jump

I love my V30. I don't use the front facing camera so I can't speak to that. I have read reviews saying this is the best camera in any phone ever on YouTube. Check it for yourself. I think it's worth the money. I can still return mine but no chance.

Have you tried turning all the way down the skin tone and lighting, then set HDR to either on or off? This greatly improves the images of the front facing camera.

Imo, the below average front facing camera kind of negates the superiority that the V30's camera/video capabilities supposedly have over every other smartphone camera (except for the Pixel 2 of course). Like... Pixel 2 with great front facing cam and a great rear cam but with less features vs V30 with great rear cam, horrible front cam but loaded with features?

I hate when people automatic say bootloop or software when it comes to LG they are just following what someone said.... software is decent to me... never had one to bootloop people think for themselves....good honest review though

If I'm going big money on a device this year, it's gonna be the Mate 10. I love V-Series phones but they removed the HDMI out capability on this one which bummed me out

Seriously? They mean to tell me with all the R&D that went into developing a killer video feature they couldn't dedicate some funds into producing a decent front camera? That front camera is a bummer.

It's crazy cuz when I had the LG G3. The front camera was a 8 MP, it looked really good! After the LG G4, they just took it away!! I'm not into selfies but LG needs to step it up in that area! Especially for $600 and up price point. Just saying
