LG V30 Review time! From prototype to retail unit, the V30 has been in our hands for a while now. Our experiences have largely been positive, but this launch came with some controversy we’ll need to discuss. Two months with the phone, how has it held up against other flagships? We all know that the V series are multimedia powerhouse devices, but fans of LG's phablets have voiced concerns about losing the replaceable battery and the durability of LG's new glass back. Love my V30 .. I owned Note's 2-7, 7 twice.

It's as good as a $500 plus DAP and it records 4K in LOG.

Juan Carlos, nice review. You absolutely right LG sucks in term of marketing and customer feedback. But I would say that s good for us minor consumers that hope the lg don't cause any mayor buzz and soon its price goes down. As wise consumer I know what the lg has to offer against other options. But still is better pay less for a fine device like this one.

Even though people hate LG's software, idk where I would be without the additional home keys you can add. The capture plus button is better than taking actual screenshots and the notification shade button is way more convenient than pulling it down. Sometimes skins aren't such a bad thing (but you really can't go wrong with stock Android)

I just got 2 days ago a brand new V30+ T Mobile variant for 450 even, won an eBay bid. Love this phone, and keeping my V20 as a backup

Personally when iSwitched over from my iPhone 6S Plus to my LG G6 I actually don't mind LG's software and I don't get why people hate it

I sure hope that LG can improve on the quality control and marketing side of things. You are absolutely right Juan about this being a top down problem. How can they succeed when those at the top don't seem to care about proper communication with consumers or advertisers?

The sound teamed with full size Hifiman 400i planar headphones is so clean and beautiful with adequate power. Adding a Fiio A5 amp definitely added some fun, when desired.

Been carrying a V series phone since the V10. Audio is my thing and picture taking is kind of a hobby. IMO, if the V40 includes a vlog worthy front shooter and continues to make improvements to the rear shooter I would find hard to believe if it didn't become the de facto standard for vlogging. The longer I stay in V series phones, the stronger the itch to create with them gets.

Yay the LG V10 made a cameo appearance! I'm using the LG V10 right now to watch this in 1440p.

I tried to tell people you can see pinkish on other AMOLEDs from Samsung and LG is blueish. No issue they both arrange Pixels differently that's it. Lg call their POLED Sammy AMOLED. They both use plastic which is why you have the curve screens!

My note 8 had screen burn in within 6 months. That's ridiculous. If my LG had Samsung Pay I wouldn't carry 2 phones.
