As a teacher I am surprised at how accurate this is, these are exactly the reasons we want to quit. Especially the misbehavior and disrespect we face every single day. It's relentless.

As a former teacher, this is 100% accurate. Every last single one of these reasons crossed my mind as I plotted my escape.

I left teaching nearly 20 years ago. It was not so much the teaching, most of my lessons went well, but it was the huge amount of lesson preparation and the constant vetting by superiors. After I was castigated by Ofsted inspectors for going beyond the curriculum on rockets, a lesson the kids loved, that for me was enough. I felt isolated and alone. If I returned I would need the skin of a rhinoceros, not against the kids, but the inspectors, and just say, 'No, ' to half of their expectations. Besides when one meets their expectations one never gets thanked. Sometimes I think schools would be better off without Ofsted.

Been teaching for 25 years.
I have 50 learners in my grade 3 class
Administrators placed more focus on how well you do your admin
They count how much work is in the learners books. Poor kids write the whole damn day!!!!

They are not concerned about how well you teach and how well the kids learn.

They judge us based on how well we do our admin.

I can’t stop crying.
Been more absent than teaching
I’m broken
Defeated
Deflated.

Why would they work so hard in college for 4-6 years just to quit the profession they dreamed of having?

Why am I still applying to go into the teacher's credential after videos like this? I must really like working in education. I've been a substitute teacher for 3 yrs. And it's all true, except for the lack or support from administration. I usually (emphasis on usually) have a lot of support from administration.

A great summary of reasons here. There is hope though. With the right mindset and approach, teachers really can do great work and make a difference as well as live happier, healthier lives.

Very well thought out, these are the reasons in general, well said. Perhaps, it is all a method to put AI in the classroom that would require all students learn online with facilitators and do away with teachers all-together. Education graduates should have the option of getting their tuition back or the option to add a new degree at no cost.
