Yesterday was my first day back at my school. Got the kitchen all cleaned up. They installed a new dishwasher, which is hecka sweet. The dead bugs, dust, and dirt all over the place. I could have lived without. All clean, though, now and ready for the kiddos at breakfast Tuesday morning. I'm excited to see the kids and begin the school year.

When I was a teen we had gone to my cousins’ for all the holidays one year. They would cook pork shoulder, never turkey. Don’t get me wrong I love pork shoulder but after New years I told my mom that I kind of missed having turkey since we didn’t the whole year. The next day she bought a turkey and cooked it, just because it would make me happy. It has been many decades since and my mom has been gone for 5 years. But I’ll always remember my mom’s loving gesture. I get a warm feeling every time I think of it. So I totally get the gesture in this video. Your kids will remember it decades to come.
