Because they know their policies don't have the majority's mandate

Because they know the country doesn't want to be run by the cartoon villains they've become, and they have no plans of ever changing.

Because they can't Win without doing so....that's what happens when the only policy they have is bashing the other Party....!

Please also do not forget to mention that there was another taped call even before the Brad Raffensperger phone call back in December by Trump asking the Georgia election investigator to also look at finding votes for him.

Because they haven't had a new idea since the 80's and I mean the 1880's.

that they so blatanly and openly seek to disenfranchise voters speaks to the contempt in which they hold those voters. us voters deserve what they get if they let this go unchallenged.

If you have to clean up a disgusting mess, it must be done. Bit by bit, but it has to be done! GET ON WITH IT!!! Otherwise the mess will get worse.

This is like asking "why do monkeys eat bananas?"
... because if they don't.... lol they won't survive. Voter suppression is to the GOP what baseball, football or apple pie is to America :)

Voter ID is fine if every eligible voter automatically had valid ID. But they don't in the US. Can you say "poll tax"? Can you say "people in cities often don't have driver's licenses"?

A hypothetical example:

If you have 40% votes of a population and opponent has 60% votes of a population, and then you can choose to let 10, 100, or a 1000 people vote. Which would you choose?

For 10 population: you will likely get 4 votes (40%x10) and opponent gets 6 votes (60%x10).

You only need to convert a little over 2 votes before the voting to win.

For 100 population: you will likely get 40 votes (40%x100) and opponent gets 60 votes (60%x100).

You need to convert a little over 20 votes to win.

Similarly, if you do the calculation for 1000, then you need to covert over 200 voters to win. Therefore, choosing 10 population voting gives you the best chances.

Even though it will likely affect some of your voters to not vote, it will affect the opponent more.

This is if the reduction of voting population was applied evenly. You can try to apply the reduction unevenly to the other party, however it will be harder to convince and apply.

Because they can't win otherwise.

I haven't listened to the presentation, yet, but, I am going to hazard a guess for an answer to the question being they know they will lose, otherwise.

They know their ideals are not popular in today's world.

simple answer, it's all down to the team sportification of politics, it basically boils down to "winning" and supporting the team.
