EDIT 1: What did F. actually say. :-) He said he still loves her, and she is his only girl. ♥️

EDIT 2: He made her a “love letter” with their names and red hearts, and now she has it in a special place in her room. Every now and then, she takes it and kisses it. It is all very dramatic. :-)
She draws the two of them a lot and leaves some of the drawings in his kindergarten locker.

EDIT 3: They are both starting school, still very connected.

EDIT 4: They are now school kids and will soon be a part of social networks themselves, so I will let them decide if they want to tell their story in the future. Maybe in time, they will decide to continue updating this answer.

I'm a teenaged mixed girl. (My mom is black and my dad is white.) With really thick and curly hair. I babysit, and around the time the live action little mermaid came out, I got a silk press for the first time. I'd never seen my hair straight before, and neither had the 5 year old I babysat. (She’s white, with straight hair). I walked into her house and she gasped when she saw me. She pointed at my hair, then at hers. She was so excited, jumping up and down, saying "You look like the new Ariel! Your hair is like mine now!"

The best thing i ever heard a child say was from the little kids that for awhile were pretty much my little brothers. My mom took them in while their mom got clean so they lived with us from ages 3 and 5 till 10 and 12. One day my mom told them to clean up the stairs, as the stairs had a divot that turned left up the full flight of stairs and they had left ALL of their toys, backpacks, shoes and books on them. They listened without objection but no longer than a minute later we both hear them softly, growing louder, singing 'Its a hard knock life for us.' Never was it so hard to NOT laugh at something.

When my cousin was a baby, he would cry if ppl picked him up but he would never cry for me and one day when he could talk, he was randomly like “You’re the best (my name)” soooo sweet (I’m 10 years older than him)

When my youngest daughter was little we lived in KY and of course we listened to country music. She had a "crush " on Kenny Chesney. It was really cute to see her get excited over a singer. This year I was shopping at Kmart to get stuff and this random child just game out from no where with his mum and looked at the person who was scanning their items and said I love ur hair! He was making a lot of annoying sounds but I think he made that persons day❤

My first "boyfriend" was around primary school age. And honestly, that taught me a lot about how a partner is, first and foremost, your friend. And while we are no longer together, i am insanely grateful for having been together with him, because that much more childlike and truly innocent relationship has helped me improve the quality of following relationships
