I like how every single analyst hasn’t really taken the biggest problem into account. Trust

The Max is a poorly designed aircraft that shouldn't fly again as an airliner. It has an unbalanced airframe due to the size and position of the engines. They are attempting to use the MCAS software to compensate for the unbalance frame. This software has already caused two flights to nosedive at 500 mph.

This aircraft is not fit for purpose.

Did Boeing learn nothing from the 787?

I'm never riding on a 737 max. Boeing needs to admit failure and retire the 737 max.

Looking at the latest FAA statements, it looks like they are intending to return the Max 8 death jet to service within the next few months. Its returning on the basis of a few more software adjustments and some pilot training. In my view its just a matter of time, perhaps weeks after a return to service that we will see the next crash, this time probably caused by a nose up stall resulting from insufficient nose down inputs. The Max 8 is inherently unstable in powered flight. No software can make that fact go away, it can attempt only to compensate for a frightful design failure. I am NOT a socialist but Boeing is an example of how capitalism can fail.

how many times will BA announce they are fixing something that isn't broken to confound the media?

I'm sure passengers will be looking forward to putting their fate in the hands of a Boeing flight computer. The 737 Devine Wind Max will be flying empty unless deeply discounted fares somehow convince flyers to roll the dice.

Boeing should drop that plane or otherwise it is through as a company. No one in their right mind would get on that plane.

I am against building a fuselage with carbon fiber - il cannot undergo plastic deformation opon a hard landing - il breaks like an egg shell. Fire resistance is another great objection - Aluminium is far superior on both counts - The latest accident with a Boeing in Izmir: the fuselage breaks in 4 pieces !!! Unbelievable! but true alas...
