Dutch kitchen; ever tried this? Hutspot is normally cooked with klapstuk (nl) in the same vessel. Klapstuk is a cut of beef from the rib section. It is marbled with fat and responds well to slow cooking in hutspot. The carrots used are generally of the type known as winterpeen (winter carrots), which give the dish its distinctive flavour ordinary carrots cannot match. Than onions and pqtatoes are cleaned and cut in with the winter carrots. Start of with the meat take 400g of it and put it in a pan add in 300ml water, 3 cloves and a tbs of Maggi Fondor. Let it cook for an hour and a half start of high and as it boils turn it down.

1 kg carrots, 1 kg potatoes, 500gr onions cut into pieces. Get out the meat and add the veggies. Put the meat to the side. Cook it till all is done. Cut the meat - little pieces. Put the veggies in a strainer and back in the pan. Get in a masher and turn it into a colourful mash. Last in is the meat. Spoon it in.

Serve it! Tastes awesome with sliced pickles, maggi sauce or soy sauce or even sambal
