Tip #10 really hit home for me. One of my first projects I built was intended to be a large pallet wood pirate chest. I got about half way through and realized the design wasn't turning out as expected. Instead of scrapping the project, I turned it into a box chest instead, then torched it with a flame to try out the finishing method I originally intended. It was fun and I learned some things too! I'm going to give the pirate chest another go, but this time I'm going to get it on camera for a YouTube video.
