This session will engage participants in an interactive discussion on Bio-Circular Economies including how to advance the transition to bio-circular economies that are both Nature Positive and Net Zero to meet the 2030 targets whilst leveraging Asia Pacific's unique position with a quarter of the world's investable forest carbon, half of the world's blue carbon, and 97% of tropical peatlands carbon sinks. The session aims to create a nuanced understanding of the value and limitations of nature-based solutions (NbS) in addressing building social-ecological resilience in an ever-warming world. Discussions will facilitate dialogue among high-level stakeholders, policymakers, investors, and regional experts to foster better adoption and implementation of NbS and hopefully ignite collaborative efforts among key stakeholders in the Asia Pacific region leading globally on the financing of NbS.
