John Travolta solidified his position as the most versatile and magnetic screen presence of the decade in this film version of the smash hit play Grease. Recording star Olivia Newton–John made her American film debut as Sandy, Travolta's naive love interest. The impressive supporting cast reads like a "who's who" in this quintessential musical about the fabulous '50s. Grease is not just a nostalgic look at a simpler decade – it's an energetic and exciting musical homage to the age of rock 'n' roll.

Featuring: John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John, Dody Goodman, Didi Conn, Jamie Donnelly, Stockard Channing

Summer of ‘78; my two cousins and I went to the Golden Bough theatre in Carmel, Ca to see Grease. We saw the first show at 10 am and sat through all five showings until my Uncle picked us up at midnight. We were 10, 11 and 12 yrs. old. We did the same thing a year earlier with Star Wars.

Olivia came up with the classic line, ‘Tell me about it, stud’ . It wasn’t in the script but the director left it in. Vale beautiful lady. Grease was the first movie I saw at the movies as a 7 year old

I was at school when this came out, it seemed to take over the world; it was everywhere. It became more than a film - it became a movement. Such happy memories going to see this at packed out cinemas so many times. The entire audience sang and clapped along to the songs. I can’t imagine that happening in todays world.
