Even though I’ve fished jerk baits for more than 40 years. I will ALWAYS watch any video you put out on that subject. Thanks Randy,

I think beginners vids on getting started with certain lures would b a good idea. I've fished most of my life but I don't fish & have confedence with every type of bait. Some baits fish all the time & know we'll some I never do. I think getting to basics on some things is good idea to. We tend to over complicate alot of things, keeping it simple is sometimes better way to go. Much Appreciated

Good tips for boat owners and deeper water. For shallow water, cranking the bait down at the start will bury the bait into the bottom. Bank fishermen will find it harder to jerk the bait downward without slapping the pole on the water also. When considering pole length as a bank fisherman and, one who often wades into the water to reach a more productive area, consider getting yourself a 6' or even shorter rod. You may not get the distance but, you wont be slapping the water when standing in knee high water either. Having said this, I love jerk bait fishing all year long and always have one tied on. My favorite way to fish!

Randy is the man. I have used many of his tips to land multiple PB this year. one helpful suggestion for those starting out. a "jerk" is not a pull. you need to return the rod tip back to original position. the rod tip will spring back on its own if done correctly with a light grip. very important in the technique.

I’ve fished practically all my life, but only recently, last five yrs or so, have I come to love jerkbait fishing. Great way to induce strikes.

I started fishin less then 6 months ago for the first time since using my gramps stuff as a child (mostly night crawlers at the time). Been watching a lot of your vids and a lot of others and been havin some success. I’d love a beginners series and appreciate what you do, most pros would never give up the tips you do!

I get best results using a 6'8" medium/fast spinning rod and 8-10lb copolymer line. I like to jerk the rod sideways. It's easier for me to work the bait and I get very good hooksets. These on the water videos are great!

Excellent video Randy! Great information and laying it on the line. Semi slack line on the jerks rather than a tight line gets the maximum action out of these!
