90% of my fighting is just waiting for people to climb to me so i can throw them off

Pretty early on in the game, I literally spent an entire evening sailing around the complete map and climbing up to a viewpoint on EVERY island. It was a pain, but so glad that I did. Now I can fast travel to wherever the story takes me.

Tip that most people don't know: after you sink a ship that you didn't board, switch to Ikaris eagle and locate 2 chests that fell to the ocean floor. ;) But beware, without the Trident of Poseidon, you may drown cuz the ocean is too deep most places.

50 hours lvl 50 My Tips

1. Only upgrade your weapon and maybe 1 piece of your best gear. Materials get expensive. Level 50 is when you want to upgrade all your gear.

2. Offensive Warrior skills are only good for early game. Endgame Melee is very underpowered compaired to assassin and hunter. 2nd Wind, Armor Perk, and Battlecry of Ares are the only skills you need from warrior. 2 points in shield bash if youre having trouble with shields.

3. Spam the Arena is you need gear, exp, and gold. Its the fastest way to level up.

4. Achilles gearset bonus (2% damage leech) is broken for Hunters. Its a free 2nd wind

5. Around lvl 20ish you want to abuse the mecenary system. Get you bounty up until you find the mercenary "The Marksman." Kill that person and you get Achilles bow which gives you 20% damage to Devastating Shot. I still use that bow.

Bonus Tip: Fire is a noob trap...Poison is better for endgame and higher difficulities becuase it debuffs the tougher enemies armor and damage they inflict on you. Fire just gives you a very mediocre fire damage over time. Its not worth it.

I love how an ingame tip is along the lines of "The best way to defeat enemies is to deplete their health before they can deplete yours" which is pretty much the same as "parry and dodge to win"

Lmao I was fighting that powerful ass boar and start of the fight a bounty hunter comes and attacks the boar and the boar focuses on him and pretty much they got both each other low and I killed them both at separate times to claim 2 rewards hahah

An actual advice from a level 70 player:

1. don't upgrade armour and weapons too often, wait at least 5 levels between upgrade sessions.
2. Invest your skill points only in abilities you're actually going to use. Most of the skills are useless and way to niche for broad combat.

Good abilities to use:
Hunter:
Rain of destruction enhanced version (good for prep to chain with assassin abilities, massive burst damage), rapid fire (early game, very good if you have headshot bonuses and good aim), Devastating shot (pretty much the best hunter ability, don't enhance it though), Overpower bow strike (good mid/late game, when you have abilities that discount the adrenaline cost)

Warrior: Bull rush (only enhanced, good to make space when multiple enemies storm you), weapons and gear master (max this out), OP attack (good when discounted), Battlecry of Ares (good late game, enhanced and combined with ISU armor that doubles activation time.. you're pretty much immortal and with a smart build, you can do over a million damage in just few strikes), Shield braker (good throughout the game, even if you don't really need it late game), Flaming attacks and fire mastery (max this out, and use all the time. apply bonuses to weapons as well - very useful bonus damage)

Assassin:
Shadow assassin (max this out), Rush Assassination (it's a play-style, I never used it - but it can be useful) Critical assassination (max it, use it), Stealth master (max it), Hero strike (max it, use it - all the time)

There are other passive abilities that are a no brainer, but these are what I use.. there's also one that deals "multiple hits" but gives you adrenaline back.. like 3 or 4 bars. That is essential and a top priority. If you run Assassin oriented build like me, you can never be dry on adrenalin. All other power abilities that I didn't mention are garbage or niche. There are some really good enhanced abilities which I also didn't mention cause I don't remember.. But yeah - pretty much strive for combos, full adrenaline, chain your attacks and abilities so you're immortal most of the time.. You can mow through the whole fort on hard mode with a decent build. It's crazy how some critical hits cards and shit let you deal upwards of 5 million damage in what seems like seconds. Have fun playing

That bounty level tip is great, at first it seems counter intuitive but as you explained it you're right, that makes a lot of sense. Also when a bounty hunter shows up to your stealth party that's when this game really shines.

I have 170+ hours and my new character is lv 75. Here are my Assassins tips
1. Hero strike is the best thing ever
2.Poison is worth, lowers defense and attack
3. For cultists, show up assassinate, use vanish, then leave
4. crit assassination is worth
5.Second wind is always good
6. Building the armor skill is good
7.If you have FOA get Madness of Ares, I deal about 800k damage per hit, not to mention crits
8.I have +20% damage on all my gear and I got the money from grinding bounties, 10k a piece

When you advance enough in the game some of the best things to get are the underwater breathing engraving added to an equipped weapon and the maxed Shadow of Nix ability + the Pilgrim Set. Shadow of Nix makes you invisible at the cost of stamina, but the full Pilgrim Set will prevent this ability from consuming any stamina, so you can basically crawl around camps without anyone seeing you for as long as you like.

Viewpoints not only add fast travel locations, they also increase the bird's perception. Eventually, you can just glance at a fort and tag all soldiers in like a second.

Pro Tip: Don't bother upgrading or engraving any gear until you hut lvl 50 and are ready to min-max your playstyle. Until this point just wear whatever has higher stats, you will outlevel it in no time.

Upgrading is so ridiculously expensive it's not worth it.
