the biggest 2 caveats to this device are (1) it is not weatherized and (2) the front lens shutter jams when dust gets the camera won't work at all. I had to send mine back. The camera to get, besides this one, is the Sony RX100 camera and very expensive.

1" camera sensor and 15x optical zoom totally sold me. Sony still can't give that much zoom range on the RX100. Also, this is still far better than any AI-infused smartphone camera.

really depends on which Iphone. The Iphone 15 Pro Max will take similar resolution quality however the reach on this blows the fruit out of the apple. You have some great abilities to capture things far away and the sensor in this device is much larger than the Iphone lineup.
