Thanks for posting this... I had so many things I wanted to say ask, but I'll just post the definition of infinitesimal as I've never heard the word before and even thought that you were saying infinite-decimal...

very good except he spent surprising amount of time on the area of a triangle which is simply 1/2 base x height (R). This method for circle's area is so much easier than others except for integrating the circumference = 2 pi r dr (r= 0 to R) giving Area = pi R squared.

In the first method, we can let u=r^2-x^2, r a constant, get du/dx and then dx = f(du, u), and finally substitute everything into the equation Area=...

Sorry teacher, but how it is possible that height of the triangle is equal to Radius. I thought that both sides of the triangle should be equal to the radius.
