Five Minute Game Engine Reviews -- Series Introduction

Welcome to a brand new series here on GameFromScratch, the 5 Minute Game Engine Review.

The entire idea is to present as much information about a game engine as possible in 5 minutes or less. Things like:
* what it costs
* what platforms it works on
* what platforms it targets
* what games have been made in it
* what it costs or what source license its released under


If you want much more indepth coverage of each game engine, of course there is the closer look series to check out!

Yeah this sounds great! Please make sure to include any negatives about what the engine CAN'T do and how it compares to other engines.

Great idea! I was missing something like this.. Even little longer vids would be good, as long as they are shorter than 10min.

Can't wait for UE4 info. I'm looking at it for over the year, but still have lots of questions. I'm especially interested in problems and disadvantages of that engine. Cause that is something they do not show engine website and often fans do not share that kind of info.

Maybe name the Videos in a way so that if per say the engine gets a new feature, you can do an additional kind of 2-5minutes update incrementally. Else I'm afraid most of the videos will just because outdated if someone reads a feature is not present, 6 months ago, but now is. Good luck, love your work!

I like the idea, but I'm not sure 5 minutes will be enough to cover all the important information and features for each engine (maybe for some, but not all). I think you should consider making it 10-15 minutes, depending on the engine and how much there's to say about it.

I'd like you to take a look at "Amazon Lumberyard" (horrible name for an engine, I know). It seems to be heavily modified and enhanced version of CryEngine 4.

Can you mention the minimum size of the APK that these engines output during your reviews for the engines that support deploying to Android?
