The behind-the-scenes of indie game design makes for a more dramatic film than most of this summer's movies!

I loved the movie, it made me go all tear-eyed because I really felt a connection with the people in it and that struggle to complete something as complicated as a game, and that feeling of having to do so.

It's always Kickstarter, but on Indiegogo you actually keep the money pledged even if your project fails to meet the goal, Kickstarter gives you nothing in that case. Indiegogo is also much more open to different projects, KS is more restricting.

Jim Guthrie did the music on this, who also made the music for Swords & Sworcery :)

I saw this movie a few weeks back, the first thing I must say is to echo what Jeff said - it is beautifully shot and looks fantastic. I think it is a must watch for gamers and people who are into the creative process.

I think it very hard to relate to Phil Fish and Jonathan Blow in this movie, they both seem condescending and patronizing towards reviewers and gamers in general. The Super Meatboy Team seem like a good bunch of people, but need to recognize a win when they get one.

Good show.

For a second there I thought you said, "Your mom is available on Steam." I don't know why...

Good movie, but it left me a little flat. It certainly covered the anxiety of producing a game, but not enough of the meat and potatoes - the actual day-to-day struggle to design and code, having to alter plans, and so forth.

Reminds of of The Raid Documentary (which blew more than a hooker on dollar night). This movie had it's ups and downs (more downs imo) and I agree with Jeff. If a few years, they'll look back and regret a lot of the stuff they said.

What I learned is that all indie developers have facial hair.

Jeff, this kind of developing isn't from "your generation".. it started back in the early 80's more so in the UK.. Talk to some classic Devs such as : Andrew Braybrook, Jon Hare, Jeff Minter, Stavros Fasuolas, and other stars of the time like Jullian Rignall, and any of the members of Crash, ZZapp etc... Video Games in my opinion has come full circle. It started just like the current "Indie Games" are now...
