I'm not a creative or Indie type so I'm not sure, but I don't think this is exactly about video games. I think it will be about their determination and constant working (and their "obsessive quest to express themselves through a 21-st century art form") and not how the game actually turned out. If they wanted to make a film about video games, I'm sure they'd choose either classics like Mario Bros or most popular ones.
