They never talk about all the death in the Pacific Ocean.

Laura, it's still leaking into the ocean, plus they still don't know where the nuclear fuel rods are.

It is too late. IT CAN NEVER BE CONTAINED. THE EARTH IS DOOMED.

they really didn't say what the effect to the ocean was and how much of the radiation has spread throughout the ocean.. very frustrating, feel like there is a huge coverup

The new article referenced may show that the ice wall has actually reduced the water enough to cause more contaminated water to be released into the ocean, It is important for the water to be carefully regulated, if too much is blocked more contamination is released and the nuclear site will sink and cause structural damage to the buildings that are holding thousands of tons of spent fuel that might cause further fissioning and fires that would cause heavier contamination than the original accident (maybe for the 2020 Olympics?) .. I think we need to bring back Science Media Journalists who have some background in research and science but I wont be holding my breath on that..

The fuel rods have melted and that is why they are pumping water into what remains of them because they would otherwise generate too much heat, hence the steam that was seen coming from the cracks in the ground (now covered over). They are now at the point where they will have to empty the water storeage tanks out to sea as they are corroding, this stored water is the most radioactive water on earth. Not all the 'cooling' water is pumped into the storage tanks as Japan would be awash with water tanks, some of the water that flows over radioactive material is running out to sea and making its way to the western coast of Americas and will end up in ground water and vitually wiping out most sea life in the pacific. Eventually the Atlantic will suffer the same fate.
In the year 2525, if man is still alive
If woman can survive, they may find

In the year 3535
Ain't gonna need to tell the truth, tell no lie
Everything you think, do and say
Is in the pill you took today

In the year 4545
You ain't gonna need your teeth, won't need your eyes
You won't find a thing to chew
Nobody's gonna look at you

In the year 5555
Your arms hangin' limp at your sides
Your legs got nothin' to do
Some machine's doin' that for you

In the year 6565
You won't need no husband, won't need no wife
You'll pick your son, pick your daughter too
From the bottom of a long glass tube

In the year 7510
If God's a coming, He oughta make it by then
Maybe He'll look around Himself and say
Guess it's time for the judgment day

In the year 8510
God is gonna shake His mighty head
He'll either say I'm pleased where man has been
Or tear it down, and start again

In the year 9595
I'm kinda wonderin' if man is gonna be alive
He's taken everything this old earth can give
And he ain't put back nothing
Now it's been ten thousand years
Man has cried a billion tears
For what, he never knew, now man's reign is through
But through eternal night, the twinkling of starlight
So very far away, maybe it's only yesterday

In the year 2525, if man is still alive
If woman can survive, they may find...

The lesson of Fukushima is that the dangers of nuclear power far outweigh its benefits.

They didn't think it necessary to build a higher wall when they built the installation BUT now they cant wait to build a higher wall!
How about building away from the fault line & away from the oceans!
The plant needs vast amounts of water to operate but does it need to be located in highly risky places? 😡

okay so who's bright Idea was it to build a nuclear power plant in a dangerus island thats played with violent natural disasters?

And claims that the water is 70 percent reduced is false, here are 2 extracts from a recent Japan article from August 23, 2017
"Tepco estimates that roughly 580 tons of water now pass through the ice wall
on the reactor buildings’ landward side each day, down from some 760
tons before freezing of soil commenced in March 2016. About 130 tons
daily enter the reactor buildings themselves, and Tepco hopes completing
the wall will bring that figure below 100 tons."

Japan has spent some 34.5 billion yen ($315 million) in taxpayer funds on the
wall, expecting the icy barrier to put a decisive end to groundwater
contamination at the Fukushima plant. It now appears that a dramatic
improvement is not likely, though the wall will still require more than 1
billion yen per year in upkeep. “The frozen-earth barrier is a
temporary measure, ” said Kunio Watanabe, a professor of resource science
at Mie University. “Some other type of wall should be considered as
well.”
