It's so good to see someone is giving an accurate overview of Plan GHD. My wife and I have been on it in Florida and have saved over $4000 in two years. I ran the numbers and since our premiums are around $50 and Plan G around $200 even in a maxed out year the "risk" amounts to us paying an extra $40 or $50 for that year. I know those lower premiums mean less in your pocket Keith, so kudos to you for prioritizing the best interest of your clients. I liked and subscribed!

Keith, excellent video covering HD G plans. Not many agents even mention HD G because of the much lower commission. That's why I chose your organization with the help of Henri to enroll me in a plan N ( good price in PA). I must say that HD G plan is a sensible option in the states you mention and for people in reasonably good health and Plan G is $150 or more. Also, their's a lot of sick people in Plan G so expect your premium increases to be 8 to 12 percent per year versus 3 to 6 for Plan HD G or Plan N . And the killer is the compounding effect over the years of that premium.

From what i found through my research is on ghd the part b deductible of 226 dollars does count towards your ghd 2700 dollar out of pocket maximum.

Thank you!
I am 63.5 and doing research on this ridiculously difficult and overwhelming, mandatory insurance.
I am healthy and avoid the Dr as much as I can.
G HD is a no brainer for me.
That solves this research project!
Phew!

Thank you Henri and Keith for leading me in the right direction! It only took 2 dozen videos from various authors to realize not only did I need a knowledge partner in helping me choose the right plan but I also wanted someone who was in the same state that I was and understood what I needed. Plan GHD is the one for me!
Thanks so much guys we'll talk again I'm sure in the future👍

Keith excellent 👍 breakdown of HDG!! When it's my time to get on Medicare I'll be most likely getting HDG.

To my knowledge, according to the Washington State Insurance Commission's list/pdf of approved Medigap policies, there's only ONE Medigap policy that has a guaranteed issue (doesn't require a health screening) policy. It's by the Health Care Authority through Blue Cross or Blue Shield (I can't remember which one it is off the top of my head). If a Washington State resident is rejected by an insurer for a Medigap policy, they can get a Supplement Medicare Policy through WSHIP (Washington State Health Insurance Pool). If someone has a doctor that they receive regular care from (within 12 months) that isn't part of a private Medicare Advantage Plan, then they can sign up for WSHIP's "Medical Supplement Plan" and not have to sign up for a Medicare Advantage Plan. The great thing about the WSHIP plan is that it also covers medically necessary things that Medicare doesn't cover on an 80% 20% split, like regular private insurance does. That opens the door to see other doctors that don't take Medicare. It's great coverage for anyone exceptionally medically needy.

We figured this out for my wife, and she is on 2nd year of HDG. So far so good. Premium savings are about $130/mo=$1560. So net out of pocket is $2700-1560=$1140 compared to regular G.
If healthy this is great.

"Getting hit by a bus does seems to be what it seems", very painful if you survive! But in all honesty, it seems like a no brainer for just about anyone. Although I can get plan N here in Texas for under $90, I chose HDG for under $40. 👌

"The Part B deductible is included within the High Deductible plan’s deductible. Therefore, the enrollee would pay the first $226, then Medicare will pay 80% of Part B services, and the enrollee would pay the 20% until the remaining deductible amount is satisfied.

However, there is one rare situation. If an enrollee satisfies the $2, 700 deductible using only Part A services, they would still pay the $226 in full in addition to the $2, 700 deductible. Medicare Part B would not pay their 80% cost-sharing until the $226 is satisfied." I read this from another site. Is this correct?

I just had over $900 in blood work performed. Medicare approved amount was $83. That is where the huge savings is realized, when you have an insurance plan.

In the future can you review the benefits of Plan K and L mediigap insurance plans?

If you elect for the high deductible this year can you change it back to a low deductible plan the following year or must you go through medical underwriting?

Since the Part A benefit period is 60 days, what would happen if you had say 3 hospital admissions during a calendar year with 3 months between them? Could you wind up owing more than $2700 out of pocket for the year or is the $2700 an absolute max oop no matter what?

If you take the GHD plan with A & B what about drugs? Do you still take RX or D? I am in Michigan and will be going on Medicare May of 2025. I want to get a head start on all this.
