2018 Drive 2 adjustment results: 11mph on delivery, 16mph for the governor adjustment, 19mph with the throttle cable adjustment for those wondering. Bone stock.

I have a 2018 EFI quiet tech and was able to reach and adjust the governor nut from above the gas tank with no big issues. I used a 1/4 ratchet with a locking button on it because the socket will fall off of most other ratchets. Position the handle above the throttle cable and you can work the nut about 1/4 turn with each ratchet. I am a pretty big guy and my hands are not small but I could do it with no big issues. Your wife or kid could do it even easier.

Thank you for the info... That's exactly what I needed to know.... It's the wife's toy and I've upgraded it to complete happiness except the complaint about the speed. Lol and explaining what and how a governor works to a non-mechanical Let's just say that any husband that is happy knows that it's easier to just listen to what the wife wants and give results, than to explain what you did. Lol thanks again for the info.

Throttle cable adjustment is easily done from the rear with the access panel removed, absolutely no need to remove the entire center body section... TBI linkage WOT (Wide Open Throttle) can be determined at the same point with very little effort, as well.

Thanks 🙏🏻
That helps a lot.
Felt like it was coughing (being held back). Runs smoother now. Appreciate it.
Keep up the good work 👊🏻

Hello, thanks for all the Drive 2 videos! I owned a G1 for years and finally have decided to get a new cart. I purchased a 23’ Adventurer 2+2. I learned from your videos that the Drive 2 PTV has the higher speed gears, and does 19 mph stock. They are advertising the Adventurer does 14.9 mph stock- can the Adventurer be turned up (governor and throttle cable) to run 20s or does it have a different ECU tune that limits it to the slower speed? I’m planning to title this as an LSV in Florida, it must do 20 mph minimum to qualify. Thank you!

Frank from a week ago. Any chance if it is even possible to have the cart stay idling when you stop. Thought that might be another video for discussion? Your do a awesome job. Frank

Great videos...I've been looking into Yamaha Drive 2 and Rover Golf carts (gas). Can you please tell me top speed if the Governor is adjusted as you mention in the video? Ideally, I'd like to be above 30mph. I'm in a residential area outside Brunswick, GA in Golf Course community and speed limit is 30.

Btw...great videos on all aspects of the unit. Thanks!!

Frank with the non quieteck. This might sound crazy but after the dealer bought the high speed gears from you and installed them my governor adjustment is now on the opposite side and the lever that should have about 1 inch of threads showing after full adjustment appears to be upside down from it's original position from the factory? The plus is my cart is stupid fast. Street flashing radar detection has me doing 32mph on 2 of them and 31 on another? Thanks Frank

So am I safe in assuming that the amount I tighten that nut dictates the speed. I just want my cart to go moderately faster. Thanks

Great videos! Will adjusting the governor change acceleration at all, if not is there a way to increase acceleration? Had my cart (2020 Drive 2 EFI) in for annual service recently and it seems to really slow down going up small hills now, didn't notice it as much prior to the service. Tks!
