thanks for the VERY straight forward clear breakdown on this my man! Really dont understand why NI dont make more of this feature for its users. Its a huge difference. It also clears up major performance use when you move libraries around and the software gets confused.

Very helpful tip! I'm trying to set up a "slave" drive from which to run my sample libraries, like you discuss also in a different video about SSDs. Are these the correct steps to do that?

(1) copy all my library folders/files to the SSD. (Currently they are running from my hard drive.)
(2) go into Logic and/or Kontakt and batch resave each current library as you model in this video, BUT select the folder on the "slave" drive, rather than the one it's currently using on the hard drive.
(3) once this is all done, remove the sample libraries from the hard drive

two other questions:
— With Komplete Ultimate (and perhaps other libraries, or all libraries) would I be better off uninstalling it from the hard drive and then reinstalling to the SSD? (Rather than copy/drag/drop?)
— Will Logic libraries need to run off the hard drive regardless, or is there a way to run them off the SSD "slave drive" too?

I will repost this question under the other video too, hoping to get your input. And thanks!

This is a great tip, for some reason Spitfire's Simcock piano takes an age to load

Wow it's the first time I heard about that. Why kontakt don't do it itself ?

Oh, have to try this! I thought Kontakt already knows the path. Let's see if it works... thanks!

Does this stay working well through all the latest versions of Kontakt full version, like v6?

I have multi-output instruments. When I click batch-resale, it says:

WARNING: using this tool will affect and alter multiple patches at once!
You should only use it if you know exactly what you are doing!!
All currently loaded Instruments will be discarded.

Really proceed?

I want to do it, but I don't want to lose my multi's. Is this the right way to batch re-save a Multi?

(For example, I have an 8Dio Adagio Violas patch with 14 different outputs in Logic. Will batch re-saving work on multi's like this?)

Is this method working for libraries in External HDD ?

I believe a batch re save will eat up a lot of hard drive space

is there a way to prevent that from happening?

Don't we have to perform a batch-resave everytime, after we restart the computer?
