How to make KONTAKT fast again - Batch Re-save Tutorial

The best tip I've ever gotten for using KONTAKT was from EvilDragon, and now I'm sharing this tip with you.

If you've been suffering through looooooooong load times for instruments and changing presets takes minutes not seconds then you're going to see a huge improvement from running batch resave on your libraries.

Click the Diskette icon, choose 'Batch re-save', select a library and wait for it to process.

What it does is search for all the files that belong for each preset, then update the preset with the specific file paths, avoiding searching for each file that loads inside the preset.

For me this took loading for a big library from over a minute to just a couple seconds.

IMPORTANT - run resave on individual libraries, not all libraries at once.

Thanks ! But probably before doing batch save, i need to backup my libraries because kontakt says: batch libraries does not work with earlier kontakt versions after the batch save. This is little important thing because sometimes kontakt players with latest versions have a tiny bugs. And you need to turn back old versions.

Question! If I have lots of sample libraries/Kontakt instruments, and they are spread across multiple locations (external SSD drives), is this something I will need to do for each individual instrument, or per storage location?

sir, i did as per u said and batch re saving almost saved my life .thanks for that .but im not clear with one thing that should i batch resave for the every project because when im loading the new project for the next day the library becoming again slow .so im doing again the batch resave .it im doing for every time .batch resaving is not for the permanent in advance

Oh wow, this isn't in the plug in Battery 4 only in standalone, but I'm hoping that just like loading expansions in standalone it will also save to the vst3 version of battery 4...
