Although Nintendo managed to regain it's crown, little did they expect that Playstation - once a project for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System - would dominate the world and become a part of pop culture. In this What If scenario, we imagine a world without Playstation. Would the Xbox even exist? Would Sega continue to make systems? Let's dive in!

the crazy thing would be that au is that sonic hero's through frontiers would not happen sonic 06 would not happen. i think sonic adventure 3 would happen and it becomes a critical success

For me, that would be the ideal world. Sega would still be in steady competition with Nintendo, they wouldn't have been rushed to try to stay ahead of any other competitors besides them. I never liked the Playstation, as besides the fact that they (along with Microsoft) were responsible for Sega leaving the console wars in 2001, they rely way too heavily on third-party support (Sega and Nintendo have the decency to make their own games), and their button scheme is different from every other major console on the market.

Honestly, Sega would've still stopped making consoles because it's mostly their own fault they ended up like this.
