Aaron is an amazing character because he actually listens. He knows how hard the system can be, and he doesn't see people as criminals but as victims. Their lives have been ruined and as a cop it's his job to make things right, not just shoot.

My ex was a cop. Abusive to me & our daughters. When I called 911, the officer interviewed both of us individually. The officer told me that my husband was dangerous and I should leave. I did w my daughters. My ex said he'd kill me BUT he'd be fkd in prison. It was all about him. I dodged a bullet.

I'm gonna be honest but, Aaron was wrong here. He forgot to ask a few questions and especially consider part of what this guy is feeling. Is your name on the deed/lease contract? Is the is your current listed address with the state? Is this where your parole officer listed they could find you? Were you a permanent resident before hand? Why were you in Jail? Just taking the wife side who is causing a disturbance and yelling and screaming just because he was in jail, is fucked up. The parole bit really could fuck up someone's life, and if the deed/lease contract part is true, your giving the squatter who is now refusing him entry into his own home a better legal basis for keeping it while he still has to pay assist in his name and he's now out of jail. I seriously understand the surface level shit, but there's a lot more going on Aaron failed to care about 😮

If he was in jail for 5 years he probably lost custody of his children due to reasons why he was in jail, mother has her right to keep her kids safe from the past, but I’m not saying she is right but I’m also not saying she’s wrong
