DIY Concrete Subfloor Leveling: How To Mix Self Leveling Compound Mapei MrYoucandoityourself

This video is for those who have never done concrete subfloor leveling. You'll learn how to prepare concrete self leveling floor compound step-by-step.
If you are going to install a floor in your house yourself, you must know how to prepare a concrete subfloor for flooring installation. Leveling a floor for hardwood or laminate is very important. Yes, you should invest some money today but you save more in the future (your floor will more durable) and even when you start flooring installation. So, always level a floor before hardwood or laminate installation!

For self leveling floor compound preparation you need:
1. Concrete Self Leveling Floor Compound
2. One Bucket (min. 10L)
3. A Mixer
4. A Drill
My bucket is 15L, so I add 7,5L (1/2) of clean potable water to the bucket.
Temperature for water:
Minimum 45 degree (F) or 7 degree (C)
Maximum 95 degree F) or 35 degree (C)
NEVER ADD THE HOT WATER!
Attach the mixer and drill.
This is 50-lb concrete self leveling compound bag.
To save your health use a dust mask
No wait! Start mixing immediately!
Because of my bucket is 15L I can prepare 1, 5 bags of concrete self leveling compound in the same time.
Concrete substrates must be at least 28 days old, structurally sound, stable and free of hydrostatic pressure.
Mix for 2-3 minutes with high -- speed drill until product reaches a lump-free, homogenous state.

after seeing many videos, this is the tutorial for "how not to DIY it", first the water needs to be within specified ratio, secondly when you tear open the bag, pieces can fall into the mix and go on to the floor and debris may show up in final floor. lastly, do not rotate the drill, its rotating already, rather you should be going up and down !!
