Only on Mac Mini M1x quad or M2, we are waiting. No Macbook pro, as ist just has been renewed. Maybe a renewed Imac pro, for real profis.

I take a small, fuzzy and furtive exception to the statement around +03:30 that we have no clue about what kind of [Apple Silicon] monster will be powering the non-intel Mac Pros in the future. You are absolutely right in so far as we really know nothing, but I think it was Gurman who leaked out rumors about Jade 2C-DIe and Jade 4C-Die (double and quadruple M1X SOCs, respectively), the latter of which would have 40 CPU (32 firestorms) and 128 GPU cores. Granted, the rumored chips may have been totally notional (we are not even certain about the M1X itself at this time), or maybe just something Apple was playing around with, but I like to think this gives us a clue to what Apple has in mind to eventually put in the Mac Pro -- a few weeks ago I made some guesses and played with some best-case assumptions in favor of Apple and based on my rough and biased calculations, a Jade 4C-Die chip performance would compare favorable to that of a high-end AMD Epic server CPU paired with an overclocked GTX 3090. That would indeed be a nice monster to have available for big jobs, especially as it would be driving up the power bill at less than half the rate the AMD+Nvidia system would.
