I used to play this one with my dad, remember sitting right behind him watching carefully and telling him where to go.
After a few minutes, we would change places.

My Papap and I use to play all these games together. I was like 5-6 years old. I used to call it “the girl game” and we would get excited about the cut scenes and call them “story so fars”. I remember my Nene would be sitting with us reading from the book when we would get stuck and then get excited when we found secrets and little treasures.

I’m now 7 months pregnant with my first daughter, and my Papap is seriously considering buying a PS1 and all of the games, and books again so he can experience that again together when she gets around the age that I was when we started playing this. It gets me so choked up watching these and vividly remembering those days with him and my Nene that I will cherish forever. Tomb Raider will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Fun fact about this game, when it first came out i had a ps1 and i never knew about the save card thingy .. so every time i played this game and turned off my ps1 i had to play it all over again when i turned it on again .. so imagine i have played this game for months and every time i start from 0 .. but everyday i moved in the game a little until i finally finished it xD

I'll never forget playing this awesome game 6 or 7 years after its release with my little niece sitting in front of me working the guns. She would fire at the enemies as I controlled Lara's movements and in an adorable voice she'd say "hi friend" as she killed them. Good times.

I remember when I first got this how impressive the improvement in the graphics over TR3 seemed. This really was the shit back in '99, I must have spent all year working my way through it, never got bored.

OMG !!! my favorite Tomb Raider game, This was my first favorite video game, my favorite levels were: Valley of the Kings, KV5, Temple of Karnak, The Great Hypostyle Hall, Sacred Lake, Tomb Of Semerkhet, Guardian of Semerkhet, Desert Railroad, Alexandria, Coastal Ruins, Catacombs, Temple Of Poseidon, The Lost Library,
Hall Of Demetrius, Pharos, Temple Of Isis and Cleopatra's Palaces.
This video made me very nostalgic, I remember my childhood to 100%. beautiful game, for the year in which this game was released, I had good graphics, the scenarios were beautiful, for me they are still beautiful and the melody was magical and mysterious.

TR is a exploration, puzzle solving game and what new ones miss is that feeling of being lost and what to do next.Not to mention the badass Lara..AH miss it so much.I have all the old games installed on my PC and when nostalgia hits i play them and i love them more and more :D

I love Lara Croft. She reminds me of Xena Warrior Princess except with guns. I just love them and grew up with them. I'm may not be a kid anymore, but I'm always young at heart. This is the only game when Lara says she is tired and need a break. I can always imagine her so far from home and so tired from her journies.
