RIP Johnny Nash. This vid was filmed here in downtown Washington DC by Johnny and friends in October 1972 as fall winter was settling in. I Can See Clearly Now was the number one song in the country at the time.

This is my all time favorite song. I was singing it when I was a few years old.
It became my anthem after my dark times.
RIP Johnny Nash and thank you for this song.

I lived in America in 1972 for 6 months as one of my parents was studying here, I went to elementary school and I remember how popular this song was, I enjoyed it so much that when I went back to my country in January 73 at one of my pal's birthday I made up a special dance to this song and taught all my pals to dance to it, great memories! Thank you Mr. Nash. Godspeed!

RIP 😞🙏🏼 Johnny Nash, this song came out in November of 1972 when I was in 9th grade. I always love this song as well as Stir It Up. Eddie Van Halen passing away and now Johnny Nash 😞😞. In three days it wil be John Lennon’s 80th birthday, I’m sadden but happy to live and to experience the music of in the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. Music and times were so much better then than now.

Johnny Nash got through some difficult times growing up with a horrific disease call Lupus. Everytime, this song came on it gave me faith, courage, and strength. It was like he was telling me to hang on tomorrow would bring a brighter day. Today, after 30 + years I have recovered, and it brings tears to my eyes to realize through faith, stamina, determination in beating this disease. I made it! My sincere thanks Mr. Nash, this song is still my rainbow at the end of my long tunnel.

One of the most underrated vocalist ever, should have been as famous as Sam Cooke. Love those boots he's wearing too, so 70's lol

Back when this song first came out, and I was sinking into my post-war Vietnam depression, I thought it was sung for me. Thanks Johnny.
