As always a good watch Matt, my dad always used to say me losing animals is part of it can’t be helped. Used to drive me nuts back then, but he was right . The redpolls are becoming one of my favourites. Feels like I’m cheating on my beloved goldfinch when I say that out loud . 😮

It's great to see some young Matt. Like you say sometimes it's not smooth. I can't grumble this season. I've 7 pairs of timbrados and all 7 pairs have had their first rounds. Pairs have 5s & 4s that's young. All ready to fledge. I've got a few eggs from the second rounds. Which many of them won't be rearing the young. I save them for foster parenting on the goldfinches. I've 28 chicks from first round.

My hen started building nest... My cock bird went crazy other night and was mounting her. Now they are a little.testy so separated again, but I look today and she's actually.taling material from holder.. I havr coco and jute fiber with a felt lined.plastic nest... God bless. Ups and downs for birding.

Still haven't got them feeding each other tho. So I may have messed up the pairing part. My first time.

Love it. I still don't have a single egg. Lol 😂 I don't think I'm cut out for birding. Not sure what I did wrong but it's something big for me to be this late with no eggs. I love your birds, in jealous but in a good way makes me want to be a better birder. Thanks mate.

im so nerves because my canaries eggs will hatch in 10 days, what is the best food for chicks to top off. Im afraid of loosing chicks if han won't provide enough food for them. total eggs are 4 pcs
