Can Science Prove There Is No God?

Science has become a major barrier to faith for many people. Some claim it has disproved the Bible and the existence of God. In this video, we explore some of the most paramount scientific discoveries over the last 100 years and see for ourselves… has science proven there is no God?

The video highlights science’s greatest achievements and discoveries over the last 100 years including Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity, Edwin Hubble’s discovery the universe is expanding, Fritz Zwicky’s discovery of dark matter, cosmic microwave background radiation, Alan Guth’s theory of inflation, and finally, the discovery that 1) the universe is expanding at a faster rate, and 2) scientists estimate dark energy and dark matter compose 96% of the universe.

Christianity Engaged makes the case that while these scientific discoveries over the last 100 years are truly remarkable, and the scientists who made them deserve our respect, none of these findings disprove the existence of God or the validity of the Bible.

The video concludes by highlighting the fact that science has proven the universe had a beginning and makes the case that the best explanation for the first cause would have to originate outside the natural universe. A purely naturalistic viewpoint would have to assert that the first cause came from within the natural universe—before there was a universe, when there was nothing.

I gave my life to Christ Jesus seven years ago from 64 years living as an agnostic, deeply rooted in studying what science has discovered and shared with humanity while trying to find a solid pathway to the Lord. You can imagine how conflicted I've been since that wonderful day, constantly hearing how we must ignore science and rely solely on what the Bible teaches. Well, I cannot do that. And as a leader in my church, leading men's groups and in other areas, these conflicting forces have become way too burdensome. That is until I found your channel. Just because we don't understand something you automatically assume it must be god (whatever your definition of a god happens to be) So, what will happen when, one day, science is able to explain all the 96% mysterious, unexplainable phenomena to which you're referring. What will your argument be then?

The problem isn't with the existence of faith, the problem is using our lack of knowledge as proof of God and then just being content with that answer, not caring to reexamine the question through a critical lens again. That being said, where did God come from? If one can say that he always existed, why can't we say the same for the singularity that eventually caused the big bang? The latter assertion would at least make some more sense, as a singularity has no intelligence, and people seem to harp on the point that intelligence can't come from nothing.

And let it be known that I'm not attacking religion, the point is that lack of knowledge doesn't really prove much, and a universe with a God and one without a God are - if you really think about it - essentially equal in credibility.

Science is finite and all about facts and proofs. I don't think there is a way to disprove the existence of any of the Gods. The best science can do is suggest probabilities and likelihoods but it will never be able to say with absolute certainty the Gods do/do not exist independent of pantheon/system. So the answer to the title question is #Nope

I believe in God or at least something after this life. I think it would be quite hard on me not to believe that, because the lost of loved ones would be even harder if there’s nothing after and why care about anything, just do whatever. It’s almost like a yin yang ☯️ of Faith & Hopeless.

Okay the speed of light is the only measurable thing in the universe okay sure. So tell me, how do you prove god without any religious text? And experience isn’t something that proves it. Also tell me if god is all knowing and is everywhere, why is there different religions that say they are right and others are wrong, why does hell exist if god already knows who will being going to hell (remember all knowing means he knows what will happen in the end) and if he is all knowing and we have a problem with different religions then why doesn’t he come down and point us in the right direction like he did for others like Moses

Nice video! However, science can't prove nor disprove God. God is a metaphysical/supernatural being like angels, ghosts, demons, etc. Science deals with the natural world and how it works. So how can we falsify the existence of God? You can't! he is outside the realm of science. Maybe one day we'll find proof of him. Or maybe we might never find out. I think the God question is one of those things that we should leave alone.
