These CRUNCHY POTATO SCALLOPS are so addictive

POTATO SCALLOPS 🥔
Doesn’t matter if you call them potato scallops or potato cakes, we’re all calling them delicious 🤤 They’re a true local takeaway (not Maccas) favourite and now we bring you a recipe for your very own homemade gluten free version!
Makes 14-16
INGREDIENTS
2 Large Potatoes
2 cup sifted Plain flour (we used GF)
330ml Beer (we used GF @Hahn SuperDry)
1 tsp Baking Powder
Sea salt and/or chicken salt
Extra flour for dusting
Oil for frying
STEPS
1. Using a mandolin or sharp knife to slice potatoes thinly.
2. Parboil the potatoes in salted water for a few minutes until just tender, be careful not to overdo it. Set aside and allow to dry.
3. In a bowl sift your flour, baking powder and a generous pinch of salt. Slowing pour in beer while whisking. You want the consistency to be like pancake batter so adjust flour/beer accordingly.
4. Heat oil a sauce pan or wok on medium or until 180c.
5. In a seperate dish add enough plain flour to dust potatoes.
6. Coat potatoes lightly in the flour then dip into batter mixture, shake off excess then place into oil.
7. Fry until golden brown.
8. We strongly recommend seasoning with chicken salt or salt & vinegar, enjoy! 😍
